Yoga With Lisa | Guest Blog

I’m Lisa, I’m a 500hr qualified yoga teacher, trained in teaching Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Yin Yoga and meditation. I live in Howden-Le-Wear with my Husband, two young daughters and our West Highland Terrier.

I’ve been teaching yoga for a year and a half but my love for all things yoga began many years ago when I realised the countless benefits it brought into my life. It was the many benefits of yoga, both physical and mental, that inspired me to train as a yoga teacher. I just love sharing this beautiful practice with others and watching them reap the benefits too.

When I’m not practising or teaching yoga, I love the great outdoors and being in nature.

In Vinyasa Flow Yoga we move through postures dynamically, synchronising the breath with the movement. I encourage my students to move intuitively, in a way that feels good in their body. I practice safe alignment, prioritising sensation over shape. My classes are suitable for all, whether you’re new to yoga, have dabbled in and out of yoga, are returning to yoga after a break injury, or are a regular practitioner.

I’m really excited to be teaching at the Hub, it has such a wonderful vibe. I can’t wait for us to build a yoga community here and watch it blossom.
