We held a veterans’ and Armed forces family fun day at the Hub on Sunday as part of our Veterans’ project funded by Durham County Council from the through soldiers’ eyes project. One of our participants Maxine Moore made these fantastic figures with woodworker Colin Wilson and went on to animate them as a short Stop Motion snippet.
Feedback from the day included:
“Absolutely fantastic, both of my girls had fun, my lil one especially loved the canoeing. I loved that there was plenty indoors to keep them busy. The food was lovely at lunch too.”
Many thanks to the volunteers who helped out on the day including Sasha who is pictured holding her airforce figure designed by Maxine, as well as David and Christine Caterson, Roger Peat and Miranda too.
