Zine making club

Have you heard of a Zine? A zine is a small circulation, self published piece of work. Zines can take many forms, but mainly they look like a handmade booklet. Over lockdown, our designer, Alice ran a virtual Zine making workshop with 6 teenagers over Zoom. Each week, a theme was set – comic strips, poems, recipe cards, just to name a few. The group absolutely loved each session, and over the 6 week workshop made some incredible, creative and often hilarious work. Once we could finally meet in person, Zine Making Club launched at TCR Hub and for the first time we could all create together! Using all of the participants’ individual work made during the lockdown sessions, we created and printed a zine which included the work of everyone in one place! A collaborative zine made virtually, which you can view below. Zine Making Club runs each Tuesday from 4pm – 5.30pm at TCR Hub. Participants are aged 11 – 16.
