Summer gets off to a cracking start

We’ve had a busy few weeks here at the Hub delivering some really unique events and activities. Our rooms have been used for the Cancer Research Afternoon Tea, The Northern Heartlands Annual Presentation and the Rotary Club Handover meeting. We have also hosted meetings of the U3A, Teesdale Visually Impaired Group and the Barnard Castle Meet Committee.

Some of our regular classes continue over the Summer including Tae Kwondo on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Games for the Brain on a Monday afternoon. These are complemented by some special events delivered by our partners such as the Butterfly Count on Friday 27th July with Veg Out and the DigVentures Achaeology Session on Wednesday 25th July.

We are also delivering our own Summer Programme, details of which can be found on our home page. We are kicking things off with the Outdoor Adventure Week, which has already seen young people participate in Map Reading, Kayaking and High Ropes today. Later this week we will host a Drawing Session and Pottery Session and will welcome Kay for her Storytelling session next Monday.

Some activities are still bookable so please get in touch if you wish to save a place.
