Outdoor Activities
High Ropes
Designed to test your confidence and skill at height, the high ropes course has many different activities built within it, many of which have multiple ways of completing them. Some activities focus purely on confidence building, whereas others test a group with completing tasks while at height such as the Jacobs Ladder. Read more here.
Kayaking & Canoeing
If you have never canoed or kayaked before, The Hub is the perfect place to try it out. Taking place on our very own man-made lake, these sessions are perfect to build confidence, skills and have great fun while you are doing it. Read more here. A choice between canoeing, kayaking or raft building; there is plenty to experience.
Archery
Located on the Hub grounds, our archery hut is the perfect place to try out your archery skills. If you have never fired a bow and arrow before or you can hit the bullseye nearly all the time, our instructors are there to help you improve technique, teach you things you may not know and play some fun games.
How to Book
If you would like to book any of these sessions please get in touch on 01833 690150 or by emailing: jonny.tcrhub@gmail.com
Outdoor Activities… What’s On offer
Bushcraft
Want to learn the art of building a shelter from things found in the wild? Or perhaps you have always wanted to know how to responsibly create fire, cook with nature and safely extinguish once finished. Our bushcraft sessions are perfect for helping you learn skills that our ancestors used daily.
Team Building & Puzzles
In the mood for something more cerebral and thoughtful. We have a large range of team building and puzzle games which can be accomplished inside or outside. The majority of the tasks will make you think outside the box and are a great addition to any of the activities listed here. Examples of just some of the activities on offer is a river crossing game, (pretend) toxic waste disposal or scavenger hunt.
BMX
We have a fantastic regional standard BMX track on site at the Hub, bikes and equipment to hire. Everything you need to get started or practice your skills if you are training for an event or race.
Challenge by choice
All activities are ‘challenge by choice’, meaning that no instructor will force any participant to do anything they ultimately do not want to do. All instructors are trained to help you get the most out of these sessions and will encourage you at all stages of the session.
Teesdale Community Resources have been delivering activities and services to community and charity groups since the 1970s and we pride ourselves on offering value for money whilst not skipping on the quality your group will receive.
We are a small team and therefore get to know you and work with you. We enjoy ensuring that you have every possible need met.
Our group customers return time and time again as they respect our approach and love our wonderful venue.
