Lindy Hop to Happiness

Join dance teacher Angeline from Lindy Jazz to learn how to Lindy Hop and Charleston.  Originally from Harlem, New York in the 1920s and danced to the Swing style of jazz they are danced “socially” this means that it is not choreographed and is a lead-follow dance.  This means that it gives the dancers a great deal of space for improvisation and fun.  It allows you to dance with and meet lots of new people.

Over the weeks you’ll be guided with step-by-step classes that will take you from feeling awkward and uncomfortable to being joyful and confident.

The classes are running for 8 weeks from  4pm – 6pm, starting on 23rd Sept, excluding 28th Oct in the school holidays.  To find out more and book a place, contact Jonny at

This is fully funded, thanks to the NOW Project facilitated by Northern Heartlands
