The High Ropes facility is one of the most exciting features of the Hub! The various elements combine to test the user both physically and mentally and provide all participants with a personal challenge which will provide a lasting memory.
Safety is at the core of all activities and every session on the High Ropes includes an ERCA qualified instructor. Jonny Elliott leads a group of 7 instructors, all of whom are ERCA qualified. There is an ERCA generic rescuer present at every High Ropes session.
There are 6 distinct elements comprising High Ropes at the Hub:
- Jacob's Ladder
- Assault Course
- All Aboard
- Great Stacking
- Leap of Faith
- See Saw
There is also a Power Fan which involves a 45' vertical climb allowing users to then experience freefall for a 30' descent. The Power Fan uses air resistance to stop the fall with the freefall element lasting approximately 1 second before the user is slowed down to a, hopefully, gentle landing!
All equipment is routinely tested and a full equipment test is carried out every 6 months by a competent PPE inspector.
The Hub also boasts a mini-high ropes facility, perfect for those less confident to test their abilities upon or for younger children to spend some time, supervised by parents.
All equipment is bookable for events, private parties, school groups and team building corporate days. There are age and height restrictions on equipment.
