The TCR Hub was host to a group of talented musicians this weekend as Hans Camp North took up residence at the Hub, enjoying their excellent facilities as they made wonderful music with highly skilled teachers.
The camp was the first time it has been held in the north of the UK and people travelled far and wide to take part in the drumming workshops.
It was a great accolade for the staff at the Hub that their excellent venue had been chosen to host this weekend. Hans Sutton who teaches intermediate and advanced Djembe and Dundun drumming was joined by guest teachers Iya Sako and Adam Bailey broadening the range of styles and levels on offer.
The rhythmic drumming could be heard around the Hub, but situated as it is, it provided the perfect venue for the weekend with workshops taking place throughout the weekend in both the drama and dance studios.
The music was fantastic, pulsing, rhythmic, primeval. The spectacle of so many musicians keeping time and creating such a wonderful rhythmic drum session amazed and delighted.
The musicians were well catered for, enjoying a delicious menu of home cooked food throughout the weekend with space to relax in the Atrium and take in the views across the lake.
Experiencing the sounds and sights of Hans Camp at the Hub was an unforgettable experience.
