Christmas celebrations at The Hub

On Saturday 9th December we welcomed Santa Claus into The Hub! Santa was on hand throughout our annual Christmas event, meeting children and their families in his Grotto. It was a fantastic event and we had more than 45 children visiting Santa across the day. Each child received a small gift and a letter from him, and spent time with him and his helper at the Grotto.

As well as Santa being on site, we also welcomed a whole host of local producers into the centre, with stall holders selling their products to people in time for Christmas. We had a fantastic selection of local businesses including Sweet Tooth, Brigantium Silver Jewellery and Kelly’s Smellies.

The Hub Kitchen was selling some delicious festive food, including turkey and cranberry toasties, mince pies and mulled wine, which kept both the families in attendance and the stall holders going throughout the day.

Finally, at 1.00pm the centre was filled with the beautiful sounds of The Halcyon Singers, The Hub’s very own choir, led by Music Studio Manager Katie. The group sang a range of Christmas Carols and really wowed onlookers with their beautiful harmonies.

All in all a wonderful day was had by all. Santa said he was really pleased that all the children he met were on his “nice” list for the year and wished one and all a very merry Christmas!
