On Friday 1st December, the centre of Barnard Castle will be lit up by a magical community evening event, being organised by TCR Hub in partnership with Barnard Castle Town Council, Barnard Castle Lights Committee, English Heritage, The Witham, the Methodist Church and local businesses, supported by community groups such as The Clique.
The theme this year is THE NIGHTS’ SKY so we are making stars, moons, planets and so much more! And this is your chance to be a part of it! Please book into our community workshops to learn how to make your own lantern, working with local artists Anneliese Baxter, Gemma McColl, Holly Scott and Suzanne Williams. You will make a lantern at the workshop but can also book the materials you need to create your own lantern at home or as part of your group.
Places on the workshops are going quickly so please make sure you dont miss out. There are still limited spaces left on Wednesday 15th November, 4-6pm; Saturday 18th November, 10-12noon and Wednesday 25th November, 4-6pm. Book places here.
