This weekend we said goodbye to the Summer with our end of season gig. Attendees watched 13 performances from a diverse range of artists, from groups who have never performed before to experienced and established local talent. Planning for the Gig began in May with the more established local bands being booked for headline slots. We love to have a mix of artists to inspire our students and encourage them to have aspirations for future events. Highlights of the event included a performance from the Music Summer School group with their self composed song ‘Doors’, a performance from the Teesdale Soul Band and higher up the bill a professional set from young band Upset Beat. The atrium was also filled with musical talent in the form of Pip Waite and later on Liam Raine and his partner Poppy, who all ensure that our guests were entertained no matter which space they relaxed in. We are already planning our Christmas Concert set for 16th December.
