What’s On At The TCR Hub Autumn 2020
Thank you for visiting the TCR Hub website. We are delighted to be able to deliver a range of services, resources and opportunities for people from across Teesdale and the wider region during this difficult period of time. Within this page we aim to describe the measures we are taking to prevent the spread of Coronavirus and share the services we are providing to support our community whilst restrictions are still in place across the UK and locally.
Our National Lottery Community Fund project in response to the Covid 19 pandemic will be running between October 2020 and March 2021. The project enables those greatest in need within our community to participate in activities, to receive support and therapy and...
TCR Food Provision 2020
Infection Prevention and Control
We are a Covid Secure venue.
At present we are only open to customers and service users who have an appointment or are signed up to participate in a specific activity. This is so that we can monitor who enters the building and which areas they use. Putting this procedure in place will enable us to support the NHS Test and Trace procedures.
Please do not enter the building unless you have an appointment, are booked into a specific session, activity or lesson. Our atrium and grounds are only open to the general public on specific dates, which will be posted in our main page and social media.
On arrival at the Hub you will need to scan the Test and Trace QR code before entering the building.
Please sanitise your hands as you enter and go straight to your class, activity or appointment.
Please do not congregate in the atrium, carpark or grounds.
We are practising social distancing and clear signage around the building and grounds. Some areas of the Hub are currently out of bounds and we ask that you respect that. These areas may have been deep cleaned and left out of bounds to be used by a particular customer group at a later date.
Please wear a mask in the atrium and until you reach your destination whereby you may follow the procedures set out within your class, activity or appointment.
But First… Pause
Our National Lottery Community Fund project in response to the Covid 19 pandemic will be running between October 2020 and March 2021.
The project enables those greatest in need within our community to participate in activities, to receive support and therapy and respite from the issues that concern them most at this time.
We can deliver a package of relaxation treatments, physical and fitness activities, small group sessions and creative workshops. Recipients must have been affected negatively by Covid 19 – for example a reduction in their work leading to a loss of business or income or because they have been providing support to our community as a key worker.
We take referrals from a range of organisations and recipients can self refer too. We assess each referral case by case and aim to provide a bespoke package of support. If you know someone who could benefit from this project or would like to self refer please email email@example.com in the first instance and we will contact you for more information.
BTCR Food Provision
We have provided over 3360 care packages to local residents between March and September 2020. The packages include a range of food provision, both fresh and longer life items, cleaning items and toiletries. We deliver the packages twice a week using a team of dedicated volunteers. We take referrals from professionals, organisations, good neighbours and friends and recipients can also self refer.
We have collected over … worth of surplus food from local Tesco and Co-operative stores since May 2020 and distributed it to those who need it most and those people within our community who wish to prevent food waste from going to landfill.
Our hot meal service delivers a two course meal to people aged over 50 across Teesdale 5 days a week. We prepare and cook the meal onsite and deliver using our dedicated team of volunteers. Meals cost £5 for two courses.
We will be developing our Food Provision over the next 6 months to meet the needs of the community.
If you would like to refer someone to the project or volunteer your time you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be in touch to gather more information.
