Celebrate the Summer with a weekend of baking and decorating special cake based products. Led by our talented Cafe Manager and business owner Philippa Farrer, participants will be taught how to bake the perfect sponge, decorate cakes using a variety of special techniques and tackle intricate details for special occasion cakes. There will also be the opportunity to learn about cakes from across the globe and the chance to share techniques and ideas. Come and take part in this baking masterclass.
Accommodation and meals are provided within the set price, which means participants can get to know each other and discuss their common interests during down time.
The TCR Hub is a purpose built, modern facility with dorm style bedrooms and an open atrium where sessions will be held and meals will be eaten. There are grounds to walk and relax in and the centre is around 15 minutes walk into Barnard Castle.

The cost for the full weekend including all meals, sessions, resources and accommodation is £216, with an early bird offer of £180 if booked and paid before Friday 30th June. This includes Friday evening meal and activity, Saturday breakdfast, lunch and dinner plus sessions and downtime and Sunday breakfast and lunch plus accommodation for two nights. To participate in the sessions and lunches, the cost is £160.
The course is suitable for those with a basic knowledge for baking already and who have an interest in developing their skills further perhaps for a special occasion, with a view to setting up a business or working in the industry.
