Teesdale Community Resources currently has volunteering opportunities available at The Hub. The centre is getting busier and we have lots more people working with us, both at the building and through other areas of our work such as the Community Transport scheme. We are looking for people to support two areas of the charity:
As our building gets busier we find ourselves in need of a reliable person to support us with the day-to-day tasks at the centre. This includes things such as changing bulbs, fixing fences, routine maintenance checks, ensuring the health and safety of the site alongside staff members and other minor repairs or maintenance work as necessary. The work is available right across the site, both inside and out. The hours can be very flexible if needed and would suit someone with regular availability to volunteer with our team. Experience of joinery, electrical work, plumbing or building work would be of use but is not essential.
We are URGENTLY seeking people who are interested in volunteering within our Community Transport project at The Hub. We have three minibuses that are booked by organisations and community groups. Often these groups need a volunteer to drive them to and from their premises. Demand is getting so high that our current volunteers are being inundated with requests to help. D1 allocation on your driving licence is an essential criteria for this post. If you passed your driving test prior to 1st January 1997 you are automatically allocated D1. If not then you must have successfully passed your D1 theory and practical tests to be considered.
An enhanced DBS check is required for both posts, this will be arranged by TCR. If you are interested in any of the opportunities then please contact Laura Carrick on 01833 690150 or email email@example.com
